At the same time, the ban on radio emission during the launch of strategic missile systems is the most significant limitation. For example, protection against large fragments of space debris on an international space station is performed by correcting its orbit on approaching a hazardous fragment. Such a defense strategy requires the development of an effective model for predicting and analyzing space debris evolution taking into account mutual collisions of space objects of various sizes. VISIBILITY IN SMOKE IN THE VISIBLE AND INFRARED RANGES OF THE OPTICAL SPECTRUM

Two types of fumes were considered: those formed during the combustion of pyrotechnic compositions and during the evaporation of a glycol solution in water. Studies were carried out by the method of «disappearance of the object». An appropriate experimental facility has been improved for conducting research in the infrared region of the spectrum. It is shown that in the smoke formed by evaporation of a glycol solution in water, the visibility ranges L in the visible and infrared ranges of the optical spectrum differ by an order of magnitude. This effect is not detected for smoke formed during the combustion of pyrotechnic compositions. It is explained by the presence of water vapor in the infrared region of the spectrum of the so-called «optical transparency windows». Laboratory equipment for the study of smoke composition during thermal decomposition of various materials is proposed, and a test method is developed. It is experimentally proved that the change in the intensity of thermal decomposition of the test sample depends on the nature of its material, which directly affects the time of fire detection. Based on the test results, results are given that allow us to estimate the threshold of operation of various SPS, as well as to determine materials with a low initial temperature of thermal decomposition. This will make it possible to recommend certain materials for practical use in everyday activities. The article shows the influence of deterioration of hydraulic shock absorbers on the combat efficiency of military equipment when working in these conditions, and also addressed the issue of reducing the reliability of hydraulic shock absorbers at low heat mode.
