METHOD OF PREDICTIONAL EVALUATION OF THE HEAVY DAMAGE OF HUMAN DAMAGE BY AIR SHOCK WAVES

Aleksey Alekseyevich Keywords: | Abstract:The article presents a prognostic method for estimating the severity of a person’s lesions by an air shock wave based on the duration of its positive phase and overpressure, which allows to calculate the probability of lesions of each of the five classes of human lesion severity (baroinjury, mild lesions, moderate lesions, severe and fatal lesions, fatal injuries). Comparison of the results of calculations with experimental results extrapolated from animals to humans (112 calculations) showed that the proportion of errors made in determining the probability of occurrence of primary injuries caused by exposure to an air shock wave was 0,19, all errors were errors of the first kind. The developed method is recommended for application for solving applied problems of ensuring the safety of blasting operations and measures to counteract terrorism in the context of a shortage of time. We received the analytic statements describing: a change of traveling speed of environments’ boundaries; the maximum movement of a semi-spheric and flat object inside incompressible liquid; the law of enlargement of the cavern and inertial liquid movement, which describes temporary cavity formation. From a practical point of view, the possibility of calculating the parameters of the temporary cavity (cavern) such as maximum depth, projection area, volume, etc. allows you to evaluate the influence of various factors on the predicted severity of post-injury contusion injury (PCI) when the body armor does not penetrate with a striking element of ammunition. A preliminary experiment is considered in which the temperature of the beginning of the crystallization of the tested fuels is determined, and the limitations (lower and upper limits) of the factors and the hypothesis about the presumed form of the regression equation are then revealed. The questionnaire contained groups of questions reflecting the acoustic load, the level of professional knowledge related to the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) of the hearing organ, the presence in the history of cases of acute acoustic trauma, treatment in medical institutions, etc. All interviewed stated that they had no PPE hearing organ. The presence of an acute acoustic trauma in the anamnesis was noted by 6 people. 76,2% of servicemen after shooting without PPE, there were signs of adverse impact of impulse noise on the body: ringing, stuffing, tinnitus lasting up to one day. To prevent the adverse effects of impulse noise, it is proposed to provide servicemen with effective hearing protection equipment, to raise the level of professional knowledge of servicemen, to convince them of the mandatory application of PPE during shooting, and to introduce responsibility for refusing to use them.
