The paper is examines the impact of the Magnus effect on the ballistic properties of a rotating sphere. It is shown that the deviation of the results by Ely and Journet is impossible to explain by the influence of the Magnus effect. Probably, they were inaccurate measurements due to the imperfection of the measuring base. In the investigated range of speeds up to 70 m/s there was maximum impact of Magnus effect corresponds to the maximum speed and increases with increasing angular velocity. The greatest influence of Magnus effect there is on the flat trajectory, a lesser - on mounted.

The paper presents analysis of the characteristics of the control systems of second generation modern high-precision anti-tank weapons. The ways to protect armored vehicles by jamming the guidance systems of modern high-precision anti-tank using pyrotechnic ammunition are considered. It is proposed to use «mosaic goal» - interference field, spatially combined with the protected armored vehicle. The analysis of the interaction of the interference field, consisting of multiple point sources of light, heat and smoke of the thermal field of the protected armored vehicle, with systems of goal selection attacking antitank munitions of various kinds. The degree of effectiveness of the «mosaic goal» is verified.
